About LiftMeUp!
Lift Me Up! is a therapeutic horseback riding program dedicated to providing safe and effective instruction for children and adults who have varying disabilities. We teach riding skills adapted to each rider’s cognitive and physical needs.
By combining the unique and special presence of our therapy horses and the skills and or our caring registered instructors Lift Me Up! helps hundreds students gain confidence, strength and self-esteem in our friendly, fun environment. Riding at Lift Me Up! helps our students to sit and stand unassisted, walk independently, improve their focus and attention span and enhance their social and communication skills.
Lift Me Up! was founded in 1975 by Colleen Zanin, OTR. Over the years we have expanded our programs to incorporate progressive and innovative therapies. Today, at our PATH Premier Accredited Center, we teach more than 115 riders each week with virtually no waiting list. Our students range in ages 3 to 60+. Our staff includes PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certified instructors at registered or advanced levels. Our weekly lesson schedule includes therapeutic riding, summer camps for students and volunteers, and our BITS (Back in the Saddle) Veteran’s riding program.
